  • Rates

    You can check availability and confirm rates for accommodation in the Book Online Tab above. Rates include VAT @ 16% and tourism fund levies @ 2%. Our rates depend on room occupancy and location and season. Rates are non-negotiable. Agents please note rates are NET and we accept direct bookings only. Kenya resident rates are valid at certain times of year under certain conditions. Please enquire.

  • Disclaimer

    Kenyaways can not be held responsible for factors of the environment, surrounds, or changes in circumstances. Rates depend on the season and occupancy and are subject to change at any time. Minimum nights may apply. We reserve to right to admission. We do not accept any liability for changes in your travel plans, travel mishaps such as flight delays, border closures. Kenyaways is a rustic, quirky, accommodation provider and does not accept responsibility for your room choices. Kenyaways does not accept responsibility for the actions of our neighbours or other establishments in the neighbourhood.

  • Children

    Children are welcome and tend to love it here being so close on the beachfront. Children (age 3 - 12 years) sharing with parents are $15 per child. Toddler (0-2 year) get complimentary accommodation and a cot and bath are provided on request, however breakfast is NOT included for complimentary stays. Please supervise children at all times. Kenyaways does not take responsibility for guests who have hired a child minder recommended through Kenyaways.

  • Check in

    Check in: 2PM Check out: 10AM, if you need an early / late check in/ out please let us know as we can be flexible and accommodating when possible. Luggage storage is available on request at your own risk. Please be prompt when checking out as we need time to clean and sanitise the room and bathrooms.

  • Peak and High Seasons

    Due to high demand, High and Peak season Rates increase and minimum nights apply. Current rates, subject to change slightly:

    Minimum 3 nights in high season (1 Jul25- 31 Aug25 and 16 Jan25 - 28 Feb25)

    Minimum 4 nights in Easter Holiday weekend.

    Minimum 7 nights in peak season (13 Dec24 - 12 Jan25)

    For the Low Season minimum 1 or 2 nights is allowed and charged at the high season rates.

    Usually we are closed after Easter until Early June for rainy season and renovations. Please enquire.

  • Booking requirements

    Once we have reserved your room/s, we do require a 50% deposit to confirm your reservation. After we receive your deposit, we will send you a confirmation email with info about the accommodation. You can make payment by debit card, Visa or Master credit cards, Mpesa or you can do a bank transfer. Details will be supplied on a reservation email. The remaining 50% should be settled on or before arrival. Cash payments by appointment only.

  • Cancelation Policy

    Please make sure you have adequate travel insurance. We have a strict policy since we are heavily affected by cancelations. Sorry no exceptions and extenuating circumstance do not apply.

    We do not issue credit or vouchers for postponing or changes in dates.

    The below cancelation charges will apply. Any bank fees or admin costs will be added to the cost of the refund.

    If the booking is cancelled 90 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to 25% of the stay will be made.

    If the booking is cancelled less than 30 days before arrival then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made.

    If the booking is cancelled less than 7 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.

    In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

  • Air-conditioning

    Certain rooms (Crossbow, Torch, Bolt, Park, Bandit) offer air conditioning as an option, but please be aware that during power outages, this feature will not be available. Our backup power system only supports fans, lights, and various sockets. All rooms have a fan in case of power outage.

  • Power Outages

    Diani Beach experiences frequent and prolonged power outages due to the poorly managed Kenya Power office in Diani. Although we have backup power for most situations, it does not sustain air conditioning and could be unavailable for some of the outage. By booking at Kenyaways, you acknowledge these circumstances are beyond our control. We cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience caused and do not offer refunds, credit vouchers, or discounts.
