We are located practically on the equator at sea level so we enjoy warm and humid climate all year round distinguishable by the “rainy” season (November, May) and “dry” season (Jan - April and Aug - Nov) . The “summer” hottest months are from Nov - April and the “winter” cooler months are from May - October.

The best months for kitesurfing and wind surfing are Dec, Jan, Feb, Jun, Jul, Aug

The best months for foiling or winging are Mar, April, Sep, Oct, Nov

The best months for diving are March and October.

Of course these patterns are rapidly changing all over the world so come expecting anything.

Kenya is a friendly and warm place with everyone willing to offer a helping hand which is often mistaken for being conniving.

The Kenyan coast is quite different to inland and Nairobi. The pace of life is slower and laid back. You will notice a Middle Eastern and Asian influence which dates to years back then Omani traders ruled and then the British who came over from India bringing many Indian traders and wares with them.

It is polite to always return a greeting even if you are not well or even if you really want to get to the point quickly. Tipping is very welcome around 5 - 10%

We are located about 2hour 15 mins from Mombasa International airport. You can reach here with Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, RwandaAir, Fly540, Jambo Jet, Uganda Airlines, 748 Air Services, Skyward Express, Jeju Air, Safarilink, Eurowings Discover).

For transfers we recommend using a reliable taxi service. We suggest we do arrange this for you as the regular driver knows how to get to Kenyaways and has our security clearance making it more economical and convenient. They are comfortable, fully insured vehicles with Air-conditioning, and roof racks for extra luggage and kite equipment. We can also arrange car or motorbike hire.
